Mystery Day Trip
9:00 AM—Arrive at our comfortable visitor center located in the old Phoenix Hotel for a comfort break and to pick up you welcome packets including shopping discounts good in local stores.
9:30 AM—10:15 Tour the Schenck Mansion, a thirty five room Victorian mansion built by river trade entrepreneur U.P. Schenck and beautifully restored and furnished by current owners Lisa and Jerry Fisher. ($3.00 per person)
10:15 AM 12: 30 PM—Board your coach for a short and scenic drive to the German Corner for a wonderful lunch of absolutely authentic German food prepared by Johanna Welch. Enjoy her presentation on growing up in Germany and how she met her husband Jim and came to live in Switzerland County. ($25.00 + tax per person)
1:00 PM 3:30 PM—On returning to Vevay your guests can enjoy some time on their own in the historic downtown. Shops, galleries and museums are all with in a short distance from one another. Our comfortable visitor’s center offers a place for those who would rather just relax for a while.
Our shops and galleries offer a beautiful selection of hand crafted artwork, including jewelry, original paintings and much more. It’s fun just to look!
3:45 PM—5:00 PM—Finish out your trip with an ice cream social or wine tasting on the lawn or in the beautiful dining rooms of the Rosemont Inn. Sure to be a hit with all your guests. (call the Inn for arrangements & pricing)
